Enid Bagnold's endearing and witty play 'The Chalk Garden' was directed for us by Pat Laurie in March 1980.

As was the custom for non-Shakespearean performances at the time this was credited to 'Derby Shakespeare Society's Globe Players'; a name that was used from 1977 to 1983 for productions of plays by other authors.
