'Three Short Plays'
venue
Quarndon Church Hall
Dates
28th - 29th January 1977
Director
Pat Laurie
In January 1977 Derby Shakespeare Society made its first visit to Quarndon Church Hall to present three one-act plays: 'Caroline Comes For Tea' by Dilys Owen, 'Knightsbridge' by John Mortimer and 'The Wages Of Sin' by Andrew Sachs. Hosted by our then Chairman Don Potter the show was a cavalcade of comedy and shenanigans!
Director Pat Laurie devised the name 'Derby Shakespeare Society's Globe Players' for this and several other subsequent non-Shakespeare plays that were staged over the following six years.
We hope to be able to add more information and photographs from this production soon.
